In Rich Dad Poor Dad, the #1 Personal Finance book of all time, Robert Kiyosaki shares the story of his two dad: his real father, whom he calls his ‘poor dad,’ and the father of his best friend, the man who became his mentor and his ‘rich dad.’ One man was well educated and an employee all his life, the other’s education was “street smarts” over traditional classroom education and he took the path of entrepreneurship…a road that led him to become one of the wealthiest men in Hawaii. Robert’s poor dad struggled financially all his life, and these two dads—these very different points of view of money, investing, and employment—shaped Robert’s thinking about money.

Robert has challenged and changed the way tens of millions of people, around the world, think about money and investing and he has become a global advocate for financial education and the path to financial freedom. Rich Dad Poor Dad (and the Rich Dad series it spawned) has sold over 36 million copies in English and translated editions around the world.

Rich Dad Poor Dad will…
• explode the myth that you need to earn a high income to become rich
• challenge the belief that your house is an asset
• show parents why they can’t rely on the school system to teach their kids
about money
• define, once and for all, an asset and a liability
• explain the difference between good debt and bad debt
• teach you to see the world of money from different perspectives
• discuss the shift in mindset that can put you on the road to financial freedom

Low on Info and Rambling

Very disappointed in this book. I’ve heard about it for years and finally checked it out. I don’t understand the hype.

Little Bit Of Flexin

Eye Opener

I always thought I had a pretty great assesment on what it would take for me to become financially infependent, but after reading this book I had to get over my arrogance, just as the book suggests, and be willing to look at other steps and options.

Great book and was suggested by a longtime friend. Thank you Brice. I think that anyone looking for a start to financial intelligence would benefit from this book. As I am a writer myself a few things stick out to me about his style. One is it is unique however the grammar needs some work 😂. But aren’t we all trying to learn? God Bless Robert and I will be reading your next book.

More helpful than I though.

There was a few things I already knew from the research I had done, but there was a large wealth of knowledge that bridged the gap that I didn’t know. I am still ignorant to what I now know is an endless sea of information that I will only ever get to swim in a very small portion of. I’m glad I got to read this book and look forward to the next.

Thoughts

In the past, I did not like to think about money or investment, and I believed that I was not interested in money. It’s a form of laziness as pointed out by the author. Financial intelligence might be as important as EQ and IQ, is something we need to develop through learning.

Worth the view

This book doesn’t so much teach you the actual ways to gain wealth but teaches you the mindset needed to find ways to make wealth. It is a very easy read and well worth it.

WOW

I came into this book with an open mind. I’m a college graduate looking for financial advice in a turbulent time. He starts with some good points - A lot of people let money and fears control their actions. It’s important to account for assets (things that passively earn money) and liabilities (things that lose money/depreciate). It’s all downhill from there. He warns that people get trapped in The Rat Race yet proposes readers get into real estate, business ownership, and the stock market. Really? Not only are those unstable but they are literally some of the greatest rat races on earth. I feel $8 poorer financially and 9 circles of h*** poorer spiritually having read this book. Avoid at all costs.

True Awakening

Through listening from the audiobook, Robert emphasized so much on financial literacy that my financial knowledge interest has truly peaked. My thought process on money has shined a light in an area of my thinking I left dark and hidden away for so long. My true training in investing really started the day I bought this audiobook. Took me 7 days to finish and I’ll continue to have this on repeat!

Robert Kiyoscami the Hawaiian Huckster

I could go on a big long rant about this anti-intellectual superficial inauthentic and phony con man who endorses MLM but that would be a waste of time, look up John T Reed who exposes everything about this Hawaiian version of Donald Trump. Even Robert admits his books are meant to be motivational, who needs a bunch of motivational ra ra books? That has to come from within, that’s why it’s nothing but a bogus sham, he offers no practical advice which is what people really need. I’d give this zero stars if I could.
